Avon and the Avon Foundation for Women have launched its new initiatives for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015  and they include a new social media campaign, #BeABrestFriend, and a blog, AllForTheBreast.org.

Avon is urging women to make a pledge to discuss breast health. The blog was created as a place for women to share stories, encourage conversations, showcase innovative programs, and deepen the understanding of breast cancer.

Fergie, who has her own Avon fragrance as is the brand’s Global Ambassador, is promoting the capaign’s initiatives. The singer commented, “Women talk about everything with their best friends – everything, except the topic of breast health. It’s time for us to step up and encourage our friends to know their risks, know their bodies, and talk to their doctors.” says Fergie.

Cheryl Heinonen, president, Avon Foundation for Women, and chief communications officer, Avon Products, said, “Similar to last year’s #CheckYourself campaign, we are asking everyone to take action – but this time it’s about taking action on behalf of your ‘breast friends’ and loved ones.”

In addition, Avon is encouraging consumers to shop Pink, and join the Avon 39 Walk To End Breast Cancer New York on Octiber 17th and 18th.

Here’s what other brands are doing for #BCA Month 2015, with pink packaging.
